Fossils are part of the reason Timber Lake has a museum. A collection of ammonites found aMosasaurnd donated by the late Helen Ross was one of the museum’s first permanent exhibits. Experts say it is one of the finest collections of ammonites in the world.

The Warrior Collection is a complete set of Warrior Exhibittraditional Lakota clothing worn by Joseph and Louise Warrior of White Horse, is well-displayed so viewers can see every detail.

The L.C. Lippert Collection is made up of early reservation-era Indian items from the Standing Rock Reservation, where Lippert was agency Warrior Headdresssuperintendent.
